About

Batesville is Arkansas’s oldest surviving city. But Batesville is doing much more than just surviving–it’s growing and thriving in its 200th year, boasting an impressive 8.5% population growth over the last five years.

Batesville offers a peek into the past and a chance to experience the great outdoors mixed with a small town's charm. Nestled in the foothills of the Ozarks and on the beautiful White River, Batesville provides a safe and friendly setting for families and professionals. The area’s abundant waterways and rugged terrain make outdoor adventure accessible for all ages and abilities.

Commerce

Batesville is home to some of the region’s biggest players: Bad Boy Mowers, Intimidator UTV, Spartan Mowers, LaCroix Precision Optics, LifePlus, Future Fuel, Citizens Bank, and First Community Bank. The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce is one of the largest Chambers in Arkansas, with over 500 members representing more than 16,000 employees. For over 100 years, the Chamber has been a leader and a catalyst for positive growth and development.

Tourism

Batesville is home to a 26 million dollar Aquatics Park and Recreation facility—drawing 70,000 visitors in its opening year—and keeps the city bustling year-round. Our two local colleges host many conferences and events. Every winter, Batesville transforms into the Christmas Capital of Arkansas™, with over a million lights on display throughout its 35-acre Riverside Park. Tens of thousands of visitors flock to the town to enjoy dancing lights in sync with favorite Christmas tunes, carriage rides, ice skating, and more!
