Monica and Tyler Griffin, owners of Poke Bayou Outfitters, pondered a question after traveling to Montana: “We have such beautiful natural scenery, great hiking, and kayaking. We live in an outdoor environment; how do we not have a place to get that gear?”

The answer to that question, with many what-ifs, led them to realize the need for outfitters uniquely located on Main Street. Monica commented, “While we love here and we live here, we are not originally from here. God placed the right people at the right time to help build this dream with us, and we have absolutely loved it.”

Poke Bayou Outfitters will soon offer kayak rentals with a shuttle service for kayaking on the Bayou. To learn more, visit their website at www.pokebayououtfitters.com.

“We’ve had a great time putting this together; I think it's important for the community,” continued Tyler. The amount of support we’ve had has been absolutely amazing. It’s been a really neat thing to see come together.”
