Lyon College Senior Ava Rose Joins Chamber as Summer Intern
The Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce has enjoyed working with Ava Rose as its summer intern. Ava is about to start her senior year at Lyon College, where she studies economics and finance. She has built her academic foundation through a wide-ranging liberal arts education that includes business courses.
Ava chose this internship to get real-world experience in economic and business development. She has taken part in the chamber’s events and programs, helping to support the local economy, tourism, and member involvement.

"My parents have always inspired me to explore different areas of the business world so I can discover a career that is both fulfilling and rewarding," Ava said. "The chamber has been a wonderful place to get involved, build knowledge, and think more clearly about my future goals and next steps."
"We are thrilled to welcome Ava to the team," said Crystal Johnson, Chamber CEO. "We take our responsibility seriously in developing the next generation of business leaders, and we're excited to see Ava grow this summer."
Internships are important for young people because they connect what students learn in class with real-world experience. They help students gain practical skills, build confidence, explore different careers, and make professional connections. Studies show that internships make it easier for students to find jobs and move from college into the workforce.
When she is not at her internship, Ava likes spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and listening to music. She is excited about starting her senior year at Lyon College and the new opportunities it will bring.
