Community Service, Inc. Celebrates Expanded Batesville Location

Community Service, Inc. (CSI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving children, adolescents, and families across Arkansas, recently celebrated the opening of its new, expanded Batesville office with a ribbon-cutting hosted by the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Susan Ockriglick, President and CEO of Community Service, Inc., joined Chamber representatives, staff from across the state, and community members for the celebration, marking an important milestone in CSI's continued growth in the Batesville area.

CSI has served children and families in the Batesville area since 2018. As demand for its services has grown, the organization relocated to a significantly larger space on Harrison Street, approximately doubling the size of its previous office.

"We have grown," Ockriglick said during the ribbon cutting. "We are so grateful that we have a brand new office, brand new space. We've doubled our size approximately, and we're also looking to hire another therapist to manage our local growth.”

CSI is a private, nonprofit youth service provider serving children and adolescents, with a primary focus on children and families who are at risk for court involvement or who have already become involved with the juvenile justice system. The organization also accepts referrals from schools, physicians, and parents.

Services offered through CSI include mental health treatment, family services, educational classes, juvenile justice case management and other programs designed to support children and families.

One of CSI's most significant commitments is ensuring that financial circumstances do not prevent a child from receiving help. Since the organization's founding in 1958, CSI has never sent a bill to a family for its services.

"We will provide services to kids at no cost to the family," Ockriglick said.

The Batesville office currently serves approximately 50 children and includes a team of professionals who work directly with local youth and families, including Dana Davidson, office manager and therapist; Olivia Leyba, administrative specialist; Trish Galen, juvenile justice staff member; and Suzanne Peebles, a juvenile justice case manager who has been with CSI since the organization began serving the Batesville area in 2018.

The organization's continued growth has also created a new employment opportunity in Batesville. CSI is currently seeking a Licensed Clinical Therapist for its Batesville location. The position is an opportunity for a master's-level clinician to join an organization focused on improving outcomes for children and families.
