Difani Memorial | Experience Independence 5K

Lace up and join us for the Difani Memorial / Experience Independence 5K on Saturday, July 11, 2026, in Batesville. This meaningful event honors the legacy of educator, principal, and booster Byron Difani, with proceeds supporting the Byron Difani Memorial Scholarship Fund for local students. The event includes both a timed 5K and an untimed memorial walk, giving everyone a way to participate.

This year’s race will begin and end at Eagle Mountain Elementary, 600 Eagle Mountain Blvd., with the 5K and walk both scheduled for 7 to 9 a.m. Registration is $30, and participants registered by June 26 are guaranteed a special event T-shirt while supplies last. Packet pickup is planned for Friday, July 10, from 4 to 7 p.m., with race-day registration available from 6 to 6:45 a.m.
