IRH Batesville Family Medical Clinic Celebrates Opening
“We are so excited to officially welcome IRH Batesville Family Medical Clinic to our Chamber network and celebrate the opening of this clinic to our community,” said Roberts. “This is an important addition for local families, and we are thrilled to see continued investment in healthcare right here in Batesville.”
Jenny Mitchell, an APRN with 38 years of healthcare experience, thanked the community for their support and shared her vision for the clinic, saying, “We love caring for patients of all ages, and I’m thankful to be here serving this community.”
The clinic focuses on prevention and wellness, following evidence-based guidelines from national health task forces. Mitchell stressed the importance of regular screenings and early care to help patients live longer, healthier lives: “Prevention is really at the heart of what we do. We encourage people not to wait until they’re sick. Come in early and let the team help you stay well.”
At the event, community ambassadors joined a Q&A session with Mitchell to discuss common health concerns. Mitchell explained that itchy, watery eyes often indicate allergies, while a fever and persistent symptoms may point to a cold or flu. Mitchell also talked about Alpha-gal syndrome, a tick-borne condition that can cause allergic reactions to red meat and other animal products. She stressed the importance of tick prevention in the area.
When asked about self-diagnosing health concerns online, Mitchell advised caution: “Avoid relying on random internet searches for diagnosis. If you’re researching symptoms, stick to reputable, evidence-based sources like Mayo Clinic or Cleveland Clinic — but the very best step is to come see a provider who cares about your wellbeing.”
IRH Batesville Family Medical Clinic now welcomes walk-ins and new patients of all ages. Mitchell and her team provide a friendly environment focused on comprehensive, patient-centered care.
